for the 2016-17 Academic Year and still accepting rolling admissions for the current school year!

 Admissions Criteria

South Mountain Co-op enrolls students ages four through eighteen who meet the two following criteria:

  • The school and the family believe that the student can thrive in South Mountain Co-op
  • The student chooses to join the school community.

Throughout the admissions process, we will work with you to determine the good fit between your family and South Mountain Co-op, as well as to provide your child or teen with the information he or she needs to make his or her own decision about enrollment. All enrollments begin with a one-year initial commitment, and we further ask that teens commit to being at the school for at least two years.

South Mountain Co-op welcomes every child who wants to be here and can thrive in our community, and welcomes families of every composition. We admit students of any race, color, national origin, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, identification and expression to all the rights, privileges, activities, and programs generally accorded or made available to students at the school.  Further SMC does not discriminate on any of these bases in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and financial aid programs, or other school-administered programs.
