Tuition and Financial Aid

South Mountain Co-op admits students without regard to family financial ability and strives to be affordable to families of all income levels through our financial aid program. The median income of our enrolled families closely matches the median income in the surrounding area.

 Financial aid is based on  household income, individual circumstances, and family financial need as assessed by a federal formula adapted to the region and applied by an independent agency.  Part-time tuition will be prorated based on the number of days per week the student attend   We understand, however, that every family’s situation is unique.

There are two options for filing your financial assessment, you may do so directly through the school by submitting an  EZ Form with your application or through a third party. To qualify for sliding scale tuition you must submit your completed tax returns for the most recent year to the school, and submit a financial assessment form with your application.

Third party applications are used in extenuating circumstances or when the sliding scale assessment is not enough to meet a family’s financial ability. Please consult with our admissions counselor before filing a FAST application.  Third party applications incur a $38, non-refundable filing fee.
